What used to be a nice set of apartments during the initial building of Montagane has now fallen into what could essentially be called disrepair. As Montagane expanded, the makers left behind old territory once new, better territory was established.
Most people who live here are usually of not-so-great financial status. Residents who usually have jobs travel to the area of the middle class to work lower class jobs, such as waiters or assistants of small businesses. Though life isn't the best here, people have tried to make the most of their living situation. Most who are content though are usually born into the shanties. Those who have fallen here seek ways to work back up, though sadly these cases are far and few.
Some of the upper class and Montagane governors have noted the current state of the shantytown have have made attempts to provide aid for those living. Some have tried to provide power to this location, while others have put funds towards renovation. In fact, there are even talks in trying to establish a support program that may eventually help more people be able to work out of the slums.
